Auto.Shift is the most advanced way to further simplify e-biking. The entire shifting process is automated, maintaining your preferred cadence constantly. You set a desired cadence, and the system adjusts the gears to keep that cadence, regardless of terrain or speed. Auto.Shift is invaluable for long tours as well as in constantly changing urban traffic situations.

Auto.Shift is indicated by an “A” on the display and can be switched on or off at any time, even while riding, with a long press on the E-Trigger.

HOW TO USE AUTO.SHIFT ON EVERY ROUTE – UPHILL AND DOWNHILL.

Imagine riding your usual commute. You activate Auto.Shift, and your pre-set desired cadence is engaged – for example, 75 rotations per minute. During the ride, the system continuously monitors your speed, cadence, and current gear. When you hit a slight incline, Auto.Shift automatically shifts to a lower gear to maintain your ideal cadence. Going downhill, the MGU automatically shifts to a higher gear, whether you’re coasting or pedaling – you’re always in the right gear. When you stop, the MGU automatically shifts to a starting gear.

With Auto.Shift.Pro, we offer you the perfect combination of automatic shifting and manual control. This mode is designed specifically for dynamic riding, allowing you to override the automatic shifting at any time with the TE1 E-Trigger. As soon as you intervene manually and shift yourself, the system registers the resulting cadence change and adjusts the shifting strategy accordingly. Auto.Shift.Pro is ideal for sporty riders who value both the comfort of automatic shifting and the freedom of manual control.

With Auto.Shift.Pro, we offer you the perfect combination of automatic shifting and manual control. AUTO.SHIFT.PRO: MAXIMUM SHIFT PERFORMANCE FOR EVERY CHALLENGE.

On varied routes, you often need to shift proactively and adjust your cadence for upcoming situations. Automatic transmissions react to situations but cannot anticipate them. Auto.Shift.Pro is the solution. For example, when approaching a steep incline, you might want to increase your cadence just before the climb to generate optimal momentum. In Auto.Shift.Pro mode, just manually shift down one or two gears by pushing the buttons on the TE1 E-trigger. Auto.Shift.Pro automatically takes over the new cadence in the lighter gear as a target value and adjusts the shifting logic optimally for the climb. If the new cadence no longer suits the situation, you can quickly reset it to your predefined value with a long press on the rear E-Trigger lever.

PRE.SELECT:
SEMI-AUTOMATIC
WHEN IT MATTERS.

 

Pre.Select is a semi-automatic shifting function that selects the optimal gear for resuming pedaling while coasting. The system continuously monitors your speed and automatically adjusts the gear so you can start pedaling again smoothly. This function is especially for downhill rides with e-MTBs, ensuring you are always in the right gear when you start pedaling again during a descent.

Start.Select:
PERFECT STARTING GEAR FOR EFFORTLESS ACCELERATION.

 

Start.Select is the entry level of semi-automatic shifting inside the MGU. Your e-bike automatically shifts into a predefined starting gear whenever it comes to a stop – for example, at a traffic light. This ensures effortless and efficient starts. Especially in situations with frequent stop & go, Start.Select greatly simplifies getting going again, allowing you to focus on the road without the need for manual gear shifting.
